How is Nasodren® used?

It is recommended to administer Nasodren® nasal spray once daily, with 1 spray in each nostril, preferably in the morning, and continuing treatment for one week.

Nasodren® for sinusitis treatment scheme

  1. Hold the bottle in a vertical position. Open it by turning the cap anticlockwise, and remove the stopper.
  2. Open the top of the ampoule that contains the solvent (purified water) with a twisting movement. Pour all of the solvent into the bottle containing the medication.
  3. Screw the spray nozzle onto the bottle and shake gently until the medication is completely dissolved. Wait until all the foam disappears.
  4. Remove the protective cap from the spray nozzle. Before using for the first time, make 2-3 test sprays into the air, avoiding contact of the preparation with the eyes or mouth.
  5. Keep the head upright, without leaning forward or backward.
  6. Insert the nozzle into the right nostril. It is very important not to inhale during administration and to administer the solution by pressing the spray nozzle once only.
  7. Exhale deeply through the mouth and then breathe normally. Avoid inhaling the product.
  8. Repeat the process with the left nostril.
  9. Clean the nozzle after use and replace the protective cap.

If you forget to administer the product on one day, continue on the next day as normal. A momentary itching or burning sensation, sneezing or an increase in nasal secretions may appear; it is quite normal for any of these symptoms to be felt; they are caused when the product starts to take effect.

In the event of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and ask your doctor or chemist for advice immediately.

If you suffer a headache that does not go away after a few hours, or you experience any side effects not described in this leaflet, stop using Nasodren® and consult your doctor or chemist.
