Are your nasal cavities and paranasal sinuses filled with mucus? Have you forgotten what breathing trouble-free feels like? Or is it facial pain what's bothering you, instead? Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses that can take a wide number of forms and can be caused by different factors: viruses, bacteria, fungi, allergies and even structural abnormalities of the nasal cavity.
Sinusitis is commonly misdiagnosed and poses major challenges for health care providers, especially when deciding on a good treatment. We know that sinusitis sufferers are highly unhappy with current treatments and have a poor quality of life. For example, many people give in to the temptation to use over-the-counter nasal decongestants, which relieve the congestion right away as they cause blood vessels and tissues to shrink. However, decongestants only target the nasal mucosa, thus not reaching the paranasal cavities and, as a result, not attacking the real problem.
Nasodren® stands out for many reasons. First of all, it's a 100% natural product, preservative free and entirely made up of Cyclamen europaeum extract, which makes it extra safe for you as its saponins (Nasodren®'s active ingredient) don't reach the bloodstream and, in consequence, have no impact on organs such as the liver or the kidneys. Moreover, Nasodren® gets to the root of the problem, because it acts on the sinuses, nasal cavities and upper respiratory tract, which allows for a complete clearance and drainage of the mucous secretions retained in such areas.
But what's Nasodren®'s course of action like? For a better understanding, you have to know that the normal functioning of the sinuses revolves around three elements:
- Thin mucous secretions.
- Proper functioning of cilia, microscopic hairs that are in charge of moving the
mucus out of the sinuses.
- Open sinus ostiums (sinus drainage openings).
If these three components stop working properly, symptoms like nasal obstruction and facial pressure may occur.
What Nasodren® does is drain the thick accumulated mucus within the sinuses by increasing the production of clear mucus, putting cilia to work and opening the sinus ostiums. And this is exactly why, when using Nasodren®, people experience an intense discharge of damned up secretions that can last for up to two hours. Due to its mechanism of action, Nasodren® may produce burning sensation in the nose, as well as itching and sneezing. These effects are manifestations of the positive response to the product. They may not be pleasant, but keep in mind that this process is necessary in order to get relief from symptoms like headache, facial pain and even improving hearing loss due to otitis media.
Nasodren®? Good! But how often and for how long?
Nasodren® should be sprayed daily and only once into each nostril, preferably about 2 hours before going to sleep. Increasing the dose won't result in an increased effect, so don't even bother. The general outcome is clinically proven to be effective in 87% of sinusitis sufferers after a 7-10 days of treatment course, though this can be extended up to 14 in case it's necessary.
FYI, Nasodren®’s efficacy and safety has been demonstrated in 29 clinical trials conducted around the world (USA, Germany, Spain, Russia, etc.), and the results of the studies have lead Nasodren® to be included in the Sinusitis European Guidelines (European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps - EPOS 2012.).
